Sandeepa Weerasinghe is the visionary founder of Economiera Educational Hub, an initiative born out of a deep passion for economics education and a commitment to empowering students through practical, student-centered learning. Graduating with First-Class Honours from the prestigious Faculty of Management & Commerce at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura — recognized as one of South Asia’s leading management faculties — Sandeepa has consistently demonstrated academic excellence and leadership. His journey began with outstanding results at school level, achieving 9 A’s at G.C.E. O/L and 3 A’s at G.C.E. A/L in the Commerce stream, securing a Z-score of 2.0268 and ranking 25th in the Kalutara District. What sets Sandeepa apart is not just his academic success, but his entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to community upliftment.Through this experience, he developed Economiera, a unique educational model designed to make economics engaging, practical, and accessible. His teaching philosophy emphasizes small group learning, close supervision, and real-world application, ensuring that students not only excel in exams but also develop a deep understanding of economic principles. Currently pursuing a Master’s in Economics at the University of Colombo, Sandeepa continues to expand his expertise while nurturing the next generation of economists and business leaders through Economiera.
